Field:

Many hall runner and stair runner products consist of a design that includes a Border and field.

The field refers to the center portion of the design with a border design that generally runs along the sides of the runner, and which is visually separate from the center design or field.

Carpet runners which are avaialbe in two widths often have some differences in scale – this can be  in the field width, field pattern, border width and border pattern.
