The largest runner selection exists in 2 width categories: A 26" to 27" runner width is most common for a staircase width of 39 inches or less. A 30" to 31" wide runner is often best for stairs 40 inches wide or more. Although fewer choices - 36" wide runners (and a small group at 41") are available for extra wide stairs, more than 44 inches for example. Use filters when searching our runner selection to sort the best width for your project.
You may prefer a width in relation to your stair widths that falls outside of these suggestions. There are no "rules" as to the reveal. (Reveal = exposed area alongside the runner) Stair and hall widths vary more than runner product widths, and most often width varies within the staircase or hall. If you've been told or read that a specific reveal is the rule - this will likely result in a runner which must be custom made throughout and therefore a more expensive project. Flexibility on the reveal allows the runner to be a standard width. However, custom widths are available in some runner products, handled on a case-by-case basis. Please Inquire.

Fiber: Fine Heat-Set Polypropylene Fiber
Runners are generally woven using either wool or synthetic fiber. A few in our Wool category are a blend of Wool and Nylon. Regardless of the fiber, most woven products are constructed in similar ways on the same types of looms. The two fibers differ in appearance, color and texture. Either category includes products in an array of density, quality and price. Synthetic fiber is typically the less expensive choice. (Products are either wool OR synthetic - a given pattern is NOT available in a choice of fiber)

Runner material is sold by the linear foot, in full foot increments. Runner material ordered for a stair runner installation is generally somewhat longer than needed and is intended to be cut to its final length during installation.

Description
Turn of the Century Persian patterns are skillfully recreated in this collection along with classic colors. Woven with DECOLAN, a fine heat-set polypropylene fiber at nearly a million points per square meter to achieve a fine pencil point finish and design clarity.
We do not suggest that this pattern be used for a custom landing application - while we can construct a landing, this pattern is one of very few which will not allow for a match when fabricated into a turn such as an L or U shape. Please Inquire
