Carpet Runner Pattern Repeat

The distance between the two points where a pattern becomes identical again. (repeats). That distance varies from one roll runner product to another. When calculating material needed for a custom runner project, we must include the pattern repeat length for each custom finish.

While the pattern repeat is a mathematical component of a footage calculation, we also consider the potential pattern placement as it relates to the project. Some patterns allow for matching, symmetry, centering or other aesthetically pleasing placement results.  Others are extremely long making ideal placement prohibitively expensive. Still others are asymmetric or offer no exact pattern match.

Patten repeat of a runner product is a bit more complicated by the fact that the border patter and field pattern may repeat at different lengths.
