Stair Carpet Fiber

Runners are woven material, generally using either new zealand wool or synthetic carpet fiber.  

• The two fibers differ in appearance, color and texture. Either category includes products in an array of density, quality, style and price. Synthetic fiber is typically less expensive than wool.
• Regardless of the fiber,  woven products are constructed in similar ways on either Wilton, Axminster or Jacquard looms.
• Some in the Wool category are 80% Wool/20% Nylon blend. These are known Axmintser or Jacquard Woven, among the best combination of fiber content and type of construction for stair use.
• Products are either in the wool runner category OR the synthetic runner category – a given pattern is NOT available in a choice of fiber.
